As a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis, we are making the decision to move the 2020 WVSTA Conference to a virtual format. This is a great disappointment to the WVSTA Board,  as we know it will be for many of you.

While we can't replicate the experience of being together in person, we will do our best to create a virtual event that will continue to move you and your science teaching forward.

The following is an outline of our current plan. Please expect updates.

  • The event will take place on October 17, 2020.
  • The Opening Session and technical workshops will be virtual, featuring presentations, demonstrations and live discussions.
  • There will be opportunities for networking, collaboration and real-time interaction.

With each WVSTA Conference, our community has grown, evolved and improved. This year will be no exception. We are excited by the prospect of creating our first virtual conference.

We'd like to thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. We'd also like to take this occasion to acknowledge you for the hard work that I know each of you is doing during these difficult times. I want to assure you that we will continue to do our very best to support your efforts.

As always, please stay safe and healthy. More information regarding registration will be coming via the WVSTA listerv. Plan to join us in person at our 2021 Conference at Stonewall Resort October 28-30.
